Help Get Dirty Jobs to Warren County!

In its fourth year, the Allegheny River Clean-Up is scheduled to get dirty and pull trash out of the waterways on September 15-22, 2012.To highlight our community and the importance of our river, the organization is trying to get Mike Rowe of the Discovery Channel’s “Dirty Jobs” show to join the crews and get dirty for a good cause!To make this happen, WE NEED YOUR HELP! This year so far NW has participated in mutual aid training with Glade VFD at a Wildland burn and structural burn and Russell with in house training. Other pics include NW flow testing different hose diameters for our monitors this year as well.


March Alarms

11 calls rounded out the month. Of the 11 there were 3 MVA’s, 2 Structure Fires, 2 Brush Fires, 1 AFA. NW Rescue assisted Glade VFD with one accident with entrapment. Landing Zones were set up to assist Emergycare and Starbrick. An engine was requested for a structure fire in Clarendon for ventilation and overhaul. A week later Sugar Grove requested an engine company to assist with overhaul. Overall, mutual aid was provided for several different companies and different capacities to Russell, Glade, Emergycare, Starbrick, Clarendon, Sugar Grove, and a standby for Youngsville.
